Liver Injury Biomarker Detection Service

There are many types of liver injury, affecting human health and life safety. The introduction of biomarkers is conducive to the diagnosis of liver injury, disease progression monitoring and prognostic analysis. As a leader in biomarker research, Creative BioMart Biomarker has multiple advanced biomarker detection technology platforms and several technically experienced technical teams. We provide customers with a variety of liver injury related biomarker detection services to help customers advance research progress and shorten the research cycle.

Introduction

The liver is an important organ of the human body, with powerful metabolic functions and detoxification functions. Liver injury can be divided into chronic liver injury and acute liver injury, among which chronic liver injury includes steatosis, fibrosis, cirrhosis and cancer, and acute liver injury includes drug-induced liver injury or cholestasis. Persistent liver damage occurs in steatohepatitis, viral hepatitis, and autoimmune, drug or alcohol-induced hepatitis. Among them, drug-induced liver injury is one of the main causes of acute and chronic liver diseases. Because the liver is the main organ of drug metabolism, most drugs entering the human body need to be metabolized by the liver, and in the process of drug metabolism, toxic substances may be produced and damage the liver. Therefore, drug toxicity studies are needed in drug development, and hepatic toxicity caused by drugs has hindered the development of new drugs. Drug-induced liver injury is the main cause of adverse drug reactions and drug withdrawal or restricted use. How to evaluate the liver injury risk of preclinical drugs more accurately is particularly important for new drug development and clinical risk control. Biomarkers play an indicator role for physiological conditions, disease states and pharmacological reactions. Therefore, biomarkers have been a very direct and effective technical means for detecting liver injury. There are already some liver injury biomarkers with a long history of research, such as alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST). However, their sensitivity and specificity for liver injury are not high, and they cannot effectively promote the prognostic analysis of liver injury. Therefore, there is an urgent need to find new and effective liver injury biomarkers in order to accurately detect liver injury and hepatotoxicity.
