Anti-CCP Detection Service

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic debilitating inflammatory disease that primarily affects the body's joints, surrounding tissues, and other extra-articular structures. RA can cause destruction of bone and cartilage, which can lead to severe disability, and it is characterized by rheumatoid factor (RF) present in serum. Anti-CCP is another serum biomarker for the diagnosis of RA with higher sensitivity and specificity. Creative BioMart Biomarker is capable to provide our customers with superior ANTI-CCP detection service, various detection methods ensuring high sensitivity for detecting biomarkers in different samples with different concentrations.

Introduction

RA is one of the most common chronic inflammatory diseases, with 2.4% of people >65 years of age having RA and the prevalence increases with age. Destructive and deformed arthritis can seriously impair patient function and reduce the quality of life of patients. Patients with RA have a poor prognosis, and early diagnosis plays an important role in improving RA, and is highly effective in reducing joint damage, delaying radiation progression, and reducing dysfunction. Anti-citrullinated peptide antibodies (ACPAs) and rheumatoid factor (RF) are serum markers of RA. ACPAs include anticyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP), anti-mutated citrullinated vimentin (anti-MCV), anti-centriolin antibody (anti-CEP-1), among which anti-CCP is the most widely used. Anti-CCP antibody and RF are autoantibodies that promote inflammatory reactions and have a crucial role in RA pathogenesis. The report on RA diagnostic studies compared anti-CCP with other RA biomarkers in terms of sensitivity and specificity. The results show that Anti-CCP antibody positivity was more specific than IgM RF, IgG RF, or IgA RF positivity for rheumatoid Arthritis and was more specific than IgM RF for early rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, serum anti-CCP antibodies help distinguish RA from other types of arthritis, help identify patients at risk of serious disease, and rarely find it in other autoimmune diseases.
