Product Overview: | Recombinant Mouse BCMA/TNFRSF17 (O88472.1) (Met1-Thr49), fused with a C-terminal hFc tag, was expressed in HEK293 cells. |
Description: | BCMA (B-cell maturation antigen), also known as TNFRSF17, is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily that plays a crucial role in B-cell function. It acts as a receptor for the ligands APRIL and BAFF. The binding of these ligands to BCMA provides key signals that stimulate IgM production and promote the survival of B cells. Although expressed on the surface of mature B cells, BCMA is primarily localized to the Golgi compartment. Its essential function in promoting B-cell survival and maturation makes it a critical regulator of humoral immunity and a major therapeutic target in diseases like multiple myeloma. |
