Recombinant Human Kallikrein 5/KLK5 Protein (active form), His-Flag tagged

Product Information
Product Name:  Recombinant Human Kallikrein 5/KLK5 Protein (active form), His-Flag tagged
Catalog#:  MK1124H
Species:  Human
Source:  HEK293
Tag:  His-Flag
Product Overview:  Recombinant Human Kallikrein 5/KLK5 Protein (active form) (Q9Y337) (Ile67-Ser293), fused with a C-terminal His-Flag tag, was expressed in HEK293 cells.
Description:  Inhibiting kallikrein 5 (KLK5) is a potential treatment for Netherton syndrome, a genetic skin disorder caused by SPINK5 gene mutations. These mutations reduce the endogenous inhibitor LEKTI-1, leading to severe skin-barrier defects and allergies. To develop a medicine targeting KLK5, an X-ray crystallography system was created to support fragment-based chemistry and knowledge-driven drug discovery.
Formulation:  Formulated in 0.22μm-filtered Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH 7.4).
Purity:  > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage:  Store under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution:  Use distilled water to dissolve the protein to a concentration above 100 μg/mL. Aliquot the solution into single-use vials and freeze.
Molecular Mass:  The protein has a predicted MW of 31.7 kDa.
Stability:  Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20°C to -80°C.
Endotoxin:  Less than 1.0 EU per μg as determined by the LAL method.
Notes:  Research Use Only. Not for use in clinical procedures. Aoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
